when the sun refuses

We are in a period of abundant and much appreciated rain. Each day is mostly gray as the storms or little squalls move east from the Pacific. Everyone seems to be thrilled with the possible break in our unprecedented drought. The weather predictors are telling us that there are many cloud covered days ahead and much more rain. But, there are moments when the sun refuses to be hidden.

  1. Glad you're getting some much-needed moisture with a bit of a respite now and then. Once, several years ago, we were visiting in December at about this time, and it poured for our whole stay. We got soaked just going from transportation into buildings. We spent a lot of time in museums. That photo actually reminds me of the "wild west" for some reason.

    1. We are truly praying that is not just a December rain period. We need the rain for an entire winter/rainy season. Glad the bursting sunset seems wild west to you....we have lost too much of our wild here, but it is nice to remember that it can still come through.
