Waiting for the storm

Quiet afternoon, watching the waves,
gradually higher and higher…..
a storm generating over the Pacific
while we wait for sunset.

  1. Haven't you had torrential rain, Duff? Once I was in SF a couple weeks before Christmas, and it just POURED the entire time. I spent the whole visit running to and from taxis and getting soaked! However it would be very nice if some of your rain came to us as snow. We're so dry (and unseasonably warm) here in CO. PS STILL thinking of those Trolls. Have a good month in your beautiful city.

    1. This photo was taken at Thanksgiving way up on the North Coast, before the wet "Pineapple Express" started flowing out of the South Pacific. We have had a very wet period for few days, but the sun was out this afternoon. I so wish that you had some of this moisture. Really sad to hear that the fire at Rocky Mtn National Park is still burning. I know that area so well and love it so much. Have a wonderful December regrouping. Loved your post on what you will be doing. I have decided to do the January small stones again. Enjoyed it a lot last year. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

  2. Wow,you had the best seat in the house watching and waiting for the storm. Such a gorgeous photograph, so serene as the calm before a storm. Send us some of that weather this way to AZ. We sure could use the moisture.

  3. It seems that we are heading for a wet winter...sure hope it spills over for you folks and heads east to the Rockies, too. It was a great place to watch...had to come home before the storm hit, though. Could have been exciting.
