weekend discussing,
debating and luxuriating in
poetry. The wonderful Koda,
never left the center of the
circle, observing,
occasionally nudging for
attention
and certain at all times that he is part
of the group.

ReplyDeleteYes, this is a long time group of poets who work with a wonderful poet/teacher, David St. John, who comes up from USC several times a year for workshops with about 15 of us. We study the work of a poet for some weeks in advance and then discuss them each morning. And then in the afternoon, each of us presents one of our own poems. It is amazing! I also have a group of 6 poets that we meet monthly for a long session where we critique and support each others work. It is a major part of my creative life!
